The citrus punch has great color. Any idea on it's northern limit?

Very nice hybrids. I personally like the Little Monk and Lemon Gem. I love soft pastel yellows and cream colored flowers. I'll be contacting Kelly as soon as he starts shipping again in July. You really got my mouth watering with those two.

Tom2643, the 'citrus punch' is a selection of O polyacantha from SE Colorado, it ought to be hardy up your way if you can keep it dry in winter.
JohnP, the lemon gem is the lighter yellow of the two, but the little monk is a smaller plant and more of a clumper as well. maybe we can do a pad swap when the Opuntias finish blooming and the new growth had fattened up a bit.
I will go and attempt some photo editing, ive got some pics to go thru, that ive snapped over the last few days.

How large of an area are these growing in? I imagine they all stay somewhat compact due to winter?

Hi Daryl, they are scattered in several beds ive constructed. They arent smaller due to winter, rooted pads were planted just last year. None of the plants pictured in this thread had winter damage.
I expect most of the full sized 'pears to make 3-4' patches, ill be cutting them back and selling the rooted pads when needbe. I have already decided im not going to butcher my plants for cuts, just as they become overgrown.
We are on the verge of closing on 160 acres of grasslands outside town here, so theyll probably get moved out to that property eventually. The land is terraced, as its sloping, and the terrace tops look like great Opuntia habitat....

I like the 'Taylors red' also. Mine that I bought this year kinda got rotty when I planted it in the earlier spring wetness, I'm trying again with whats left of it.
