Hello everyone
I am new to this forum,
About two years ago that I fond of the cactus, and have some nameless, today I put two photos. Can you say the name?.

Hi Mercedes,
I looked at your post earlier, but did not comment. I thought someone else might. These plants seem to be very small columnar species.

This makes ID very hard. Until they get bigger, you probably can't insist on a species.

As a guess, the first could be Pilosocereus gounellei

and the second some sort of Cereus species.
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

The first one if it can be Pilosocereus gounellei, but second one I am tired of seeing Cereus and I havent found :( , I hope to get luky :wink:

The first struck me as like Parodia, the second as like Echinocereus, but most probably they are just baby columnars. I can't even tell columnars apart when they are big :oops:

I have searched Parodias and I havent found some similar. The second if it could been echinocereus coccinea. I will wait grow. Thank.

I can see the resemblance for the second one to Echinocereus, but it is definitely not Echinocereus coccineus. Both plants look like young columnars to me. I wish there were more certain ways to ID some of these juvenile plants. :-(

I adree with you Peter, it is dificult recognize some young cactus but they are so slow to grow . :oops:

I don't know. all Echinocereus viereckii I have seen Internet, they haven't got thorns but look like.

When I look at the pot and the soil, and the fact that you live in Europe, I would guess that this plants are from a mall or equal? If that is the case I would say that the second plant is a "Cactus" dumortierii (Isolatocereus dumortieri) that really need some water. That species is common at the mall, Ikea etc.
