Hi Jordi
Absolutely fantastic plant of Eriosyce laui. Did it set seed in the fruits?

Man o' live! Some awesome plants everyone. Of course, these contests really don't help my drooling problem! =P~ =P~ =P~

Hob, I think you could have had a separate contest with just your plants!

Like those pachanoi buds, Buck - it's like "ready...aim... fire!".

I think that most of them "fired". This is that plant a few weeks later. The problem is that it doesn't bloom until late fall and sometimes it gets too cold and the buds just don't go anywhere. They sure did this time.

All of these flower photos are great. Some of them just seem to pop out at you. Personally I need to work on lighting and flower position. Super job everyone! 8)

Beautiful pictures everyone! I really enjoy looking at all the beautiful flowers you all posted. :D

Buck, that Cereus would be a show stopper (if you can fork lift it to the show area  ) and it should have lots of fruit once it's done!

Here are a couple of candidates:
Acanthocalycium thionatha var. variflorum
Image

Cintia knizei (I have a better pic of it, I just can't find it right now :dontknow: )
Image

Echinopsis crassicaulis

Notocactus magnificus

This one would've been a good candidate for the contest, if the flower buds on top were developed and opened. :?

Byron,
some of those flowers look like they could eat you! ya know the Echinopsis crassicaulis. The little white stamens or whatever they are called look like teeth.

Yes indeed. The stamens go down pretty deep inside the flower.
