This is much more difficult than the Ferocactus. Do you have any more info on these, such as where they came from?

daiv i purchased it from a person out of city. he told me that these are all melo cactus.

1,2,4,5 looks similar to me but he told me that these are pair of two varities. 3 also looks a bit same, i purchased it from out of city and it traveled me in AC bus, when i opened it last week it was very cold,,may be it changed it color, i dont remember its color because he told me its melo and there was so much dark thre. so i packed it and put in my bag. now im not sure ac bus turned it a bit brown or it was orginally a bit brown

Sorry I don't know too much about Melos. They are nice tho. The one has fruits on it so it flowered. You might have to wait til it flowers again to get a good ID.

melocactus peruvianus :D

That's great. How were you able to decide between M. peruvianus and M. bellavistensis?

My worst nightmare concerning cacti id...after Stenocacti of course!!! :lol:

daiv in M.bellavistensis spines have dark brown color either at growing stage or at later. but in M.peruvianus spines colors remains white that what i serached. well im still totally doubtful about pic # 3. i m unable to decide either its same as others or its something different
