June - Favorites
This topic is devoted to your favorites.
Your favorite plant, favorite flower or just a favorite photo. (which may or may not have your favorite plant in it )
(Almost) Anything goes! There must be atleast a cactus or succulent within the photo. Landscapes type shots are fine, the plant does not have to be fully visible, but it (they) do need to be recognizable as a C&S plant.
On with the show!
Note:
Remember, along with each contest is a seperate thread for discussion and posting all your "other" pics Click here
Prize:
To the winner goes, A $10 gift certificate towards any CoronaCactus Nursery purchase. (Plants, tools, Pots, labels, etc.)
NOTE: For members outside of the USA non-plant prizes can only be awarded.
Deadline:
for submissions will be Monday June 21st, 2010

This is Echinopsis huascha with its first two blooms, Spring 2010. Two more buds can be seen forming at its top, left.

May not be the best shot - it's an old print I scanned in for the contest - but it is one of my favs.
Opuntia fulgida on the way to Organ Pipe NM. This was so large, I had to stand by it to show the size. _________________ If you check my blog I sometimes have cacti pics posted there. It is very general as I have numerous interests, but the pics are usually pretty decent. azgronseth.blogspot.com |

I've taken over 10,000 pictures in the last year alone. Favorite is definitely not easy. This is currently my top spot anytime. At the top of Hellskloof Pass in the Richtersveld. Aloe pearsonii as far as you can see. This is an endangered plant.

I don´t know the name of it - but thinking of it and it´s name for so often has made it one of my favorites.
Second good point about the plant is that it has a living moisture indicator growing in the same pot...
Eriosyce spec. (aff. crispa)
