Leuchtenbergia principis seedlings . . .

Post by Cereusly »

I found these Leuchtenbergia principis seedlings growing yesterday at the base of the mother plant from seeds that fell into the pot last fall while collecting seed pods. :o Tony

PTCG, If you can get a ripe Saguaro fruit, you can make this happen. You could have a Saguaro Stand in front of your house and sell baby Saguaros to tourists passing buy. :D Tony

I actually have several of them. I actually got some seeds already. And yeah I probably could sell them to the tourists. :)

Black Canyon City Botanical Gardens? :)

It's amazing at how easy it is to raise from seed when you don't even know the seedlings exist!

So true Daiv. I can't wait for my MG order to get here now....

I'm becoming very impatient and it's only been two hours since I ordered!

Awesome! I think it's great when they seed the pot and grow extras!

Congrats!

 Yes, well fill the time preparing your seed growing chamber and getting the soil ready, etc. Then once you sow the seeds, you'll really go nuts waiting. Cactus seeds are s - l - 0 - w!

I wonder if there are certain species that sort of hold 'records' for slow germination..

:-k

I'm crossing my fingers that Trichocereus chiloensis will germinate for me.

I feel I've had a lot of luck so far.
