Hi everyone!
I suppose this post may seem a little self-serving, but I think it can be more than that.
At the beginning of the month, I spotted an opportunity to start a new business related to cactus and succulents.
http://www.exoticplantbooks.com/
As you can imagine there is a great deal of work involved and some things are still coming together. The most obvious of these is the inventory. Supplies are in transit to me and will be updated as soon as they get here (maybe even today). As more orders are shipped to me, I will add the new titles.
I didn't realize that the toll free numbers take a while to activate and so that isn't working yet. As soon as it is working, I'll remove the "unavailable" note.
I'm very excited about this endeavor and welcome any of you to pass on any feedback or requests you have via e-mail. You can use the info@exoticplantbooks.com e-mail, but daiv@cactiguide.com is fine too.

Congrats to your grand opening, Daiv.
Very well done!
But I've a small question.
Do you ship to other countrys especially to Germany? _________________ Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money.

Yes, I definitely can/would send international orders. In such cases, the postage is a very important factor.
According to their website, the United States Postal (Priority Mail) is $40 for a 5 pound package.
Obviously, that can be as much as the book costs. Services like DHL and FEDEX are even more money.
I will am still working to find the best rates for international.

Just from glancing at a few of the titles and googling them I see you have wonderful prices (hard to find too). I might even pick up something in the future. Everything is on the internet, but I've always enjoyed print media over digital . |

USPS is as good as it gets, there are rates cheaper than Priority Mail, but that will necessitate frequent trips to the Post Office. In any case, the best of luck in regard to your new venture. Be sure to initiate a good link campaign to enhance exposure for your website. |

Hi all, thanks for all the feedback.
I would be happy to work on finding anything specific.
@cruaux - no flash, but I did not make the site layout compatible with old versions of I.E. I suppose I really should...
RE: USPS - I am fast concluding the same thing. Trips to the Post Office are not a problem. I am within walking distance of it and ours is not very busy mid-week so this should work out well.
BTW - All of the Timber Press/Storey Publishing titles arrived today and I've updated the in-stock status. I was a little taken aback at how nice brand new "Cactus Family" books are compared to my well-worn, duct-tape-spine copy!
