Thanks Jo, I guess you refer to the top down pic - I like it as well, a different perspective.

New plant to my eyes, LT, but very cute! The more I try to avoid non-cacti succulents, the more really cool ones keep showing up in the Forum. And let me guess -- there's a bazillion Cotyledon's to pick from!

Yes, they are, LT! Funny, I used this same term with my Yahoo Group last night. But this is a genus with a finite #, even a managable #! I'm getting "caught up" with Haworthia's... Trying to stick with 6 - 8 of the classic "types"!

Lee, that is a good collection you mention... I grew these from seed, so for me it is pretty special.
Doc, for sure, that what we say, classic types, just one or 2.... did your cactus collection begin with the same statements?? LOL! I often wonder why am I doing this, then something happens, a flower, a seedling, whatever...and I am hooked all over again!

Amen - I "heard" myself (deja vous, all over again! ) even as I was typing the response. Honest, really, just a couple! Funny how we can PLAINLY hear it in others words -- but not moi!

i have never had any luck at growing seeds but i am going to try again this spring. i'm going to take the advice of some of you fellow cactaholic and succulent growers and try new methods that i have never tried before.
