Has anyone ever dealt with Planta Seca nursery in Alamo, CA? I ran across a few of their plants on eBay and they mention their website (www.plantaseca.com). They seem to have some VERY nice plants, but they seem to be universally expensive.

He seems to have some interesting stuff. Take a look at the nursery picture link from the front page.

Kika, that top dressing looks very familiar. Did you get it from Cactus Jungle?

Cactus Jungle is a great nursery to buy plants and homemade supplies in the SF Bay Area. They sell their cacti in Terra Cotta pots so you don't have to worry about potting them when you get home. Their homemade supplies are very helpful as well, and the owner and employees are very knowledgeable.

Sorry Byron! I haven't logged in a while. I get all my supplies from American Soil in Richmond. Soil, pumice and the lava rock. I like Cactus Jungle, but once I discovered American Soil there was no going back--they are about 50% off from what CJ sells it for. You should check them out.

Yes, I have many Plantaseca plants. I get many of my plants from him during our San Francisco Succulent & Cactus Society show and sale in June and Norcal Show and sale in June. At the shows, his plants are very inexpensive and are grown very well. I have not checked out his website or his ebay stuff, but his plants are nice.

Thanks for the recommendation Kika. Smile I heard that Richmond is not a very safe city. Is it located in a safe area?

Another ebay store is exotic_cactus_collection. Based in Miami, FL Samuel has very healthy plants. I found them to be reasonably priced for the size you receive. His buy it now section has a huge selection.

OK, I posted a link in the "General" section on this, but I think it should go here too. I know that not many are into the Epi hybrids on this forum, but Matt has such nice plants and good service, it would be wrong for me not to post.

Aside from that, he has some Epi species available that are quite hard to find.

So for those interested:
