It's Got to be LOVE!!!

Cocky, and his favourite hen when it is time for her to lay. Sometimes he just stands near the nest box and waits for her, and sometimes he goes in with her, just like an expectant father.

Either that or he is trying to work out how to lay an egg :? He does make the same noise as the chickens do when laying :-k

I think so. When we had a little broody hen, he would always wait around near her coup when it was time for the eggs to hatch. Personally I think he has an "identity problem" 8-[
