New North East Agave Bed

Post by BobbyZ »

I completed an agave bed I started earlier this spring. I previously planted four agaves A. potatorum (Drunken agave), Agave parrasma, (Confederate rose) Agave geminiflora, and Agave striata with an Aloe vera. To complete I removed as much of the red pine mulch as possible and added several small A parryi, Blue Agave porturum pups, Agave victoria reginae pups and a larger specimen of Agave lophanta quadricolor and two Agave angusifolia marginata pups. I filled in with a clump of Aloe cilaris, an Opuntia ficus indica, Opuntia subiulata, Tephrocactus articulansOpuntia monocantha pad and some baby santa rita pads. The planting is fairly intense and I will thin out as they grow. The front of my yar5d has the bestg sun and hopefully will complement to rose and lantana in the bed.

Nice!
