G'day Iunaelliot,
how do I help it dry and callous? Do I need to stick it to anything?
I use a garden lime for the drying agent. Please have a look my post on 24th April.
You just keep it a shady place with good airflow for 3 weeks.
Frank
Hi Frank
Thanks for your reply.
I am just wondering can I put the cactus back into a mineral based soil once it is done drying or do I need to mix some organic substances with it? Would I also need any rooting powder?

Top 2 cm is no organic based soil and others should be mixed 30% organic substances.
It is not necessary rooting powder for myrtilocactus rooting.
Hello Frank. How often do you transplant already rooted Aztekium (ritteri) into a new pot? Will you trim thin roots when transplanting (like Astophytums)? Thanks in advance.
The attached photo is degrafted Astrophytum hybrid, capricorne x red flowering asterias.
They are under drying process.
They all are flowering size and I have confirmed the flower colour "red".
Since stocks were Pereskiopsis, grafting unions were inside of scion bodies. All unions were dug out and drying agent, garden-lime were filled in holes.
I will set them in pots for the rooting when the drying process was completed.

3 Ariocarpus pectinatus were degrafted in this morning.
Seeds were sown on 8th January 2019 and young seedlings were grafted on Pereskiopsis stocks.
They are in 9.5 cm square pots.

3 Ariocarpus red flowering trigonus were repotted yesterday.
My friend brought 6 seedlings and asked me to graft in 2018.
All of them were taken and I returned him 3 of them. I confirmed flower colour last year.

I'm absolutely delighted to join this forum and absolutely amazed how much of absolutely valuable info you posted in regards to degrafting.
I have a small question, I have pelecyphora aselliformis prolifera grafted on pereskiopsis.
It's about 1cm in diameter where the union is and about 2 cm in height.
If I decided to degraft it in april what are chances that it will root? I know that you mentioned that best size for degraft is 3 cm, however I dont think that pereskiopsis will live that far to provide pelecyphora with speedy growth.
Not sure if the photo is going to display, so adding the link. It's a tiny beauty, if it could stay on graft for another year it would be great, however i think that pereskiopsis is withering away so I wont have much time. Appreciate any advise
