Rauhocereus or not Rauhocereus?

I've been growing the following plant for years, and based on comparison with others of this species, photos, and descriptions, it is definitely correctly identified as Rauhocereus riosaniensis:
A couple of years ago, I purchased this plant on eBay from a reputable seller under the same name (Rauhocereus riosaniensis):
I figured as it grew it would come to resemble my other plant.
It has not. The more it grows, the less sure I am that it is correctly identified.
Anyone have any thoughts as to the ID of the second plant?
I'm at a loss.
