Blue leaf succulent small bush ID Request

Post by Christopher Howard »

Would anybody know the latin name of this guy? I put it into a rocky substrate. The leaves are faintly fuzzy.

Crassula falcata, maybe? A.k.a. : Crassula perfoliata var. minor.
Normally bluer and more compact, if grown in strong light.

I would also think it is a weirdly grown Crassula, and that species looks very close, but it still feels a bit off to me. I'll have to see how it starts growing with a bit more attention given to it. Thanks for your response, esp.

Could be Crassula cephalophora, and it's readily available, which often gives a good clue. "Fuzzy blue-green leaves" it says somewhere ;)

Good call!
Not a species I'd heard of previously.

It keeps surprising me how we can stumble upon plants in the supermarket or regular flowershops which do not or barely appear in the usual botanical databases...sometimes I actually get supsicious whether the species actually exists or the name is correct... I guess some large network could launch a not very well known species, and thus get it marketed and sold, or some growers just try to match a name for a cultivar, cause they have to these days... plant passports ! :D
