Red spider?

Post by gillinger »

I took my eye off the ball here. I thought at first it was just too much sun but now I'm thinking it's a spider mite invasion. Can anyone confirm please? I've isolated the plant and luckily got a couple of pots worth of pups, which seem to be OK. If it is red spider I'm baffled as to where it's come from as all other plants look fine. They're all indoor.

This is not the sun damage. Looks indeed like mites.
I would put it outside for the summer and see if that fixes anything for new growth on it.

Thanks, Aiko. I've done as suggested and put it outside. I've also sprayed it with Doff Garden Pest Killer (bifenthrin) which is supposedly good against red spider mites.
