Saving Lophophora

Post by abhikjha »

Hi Guys, I received a plant just right now. During the transport, I guess it got a bit beaten up. There are some soft areas on some of the pups. So, I immediately washed it thoroughly, cleaned the roots and applied some systemic fungicide on affected areas. I will let it dry for couple of days under fan. Any tips to revive it so that the damage doesn't spread much and it remains healthy?

Keep it dry for some time and it will be fine. Even with moderate sunshine, just upright. I hope it is not very humid now in your place.

BTW, what kind of fungicide you are using there? I can not find anything in form of powder here, everything is declared as dangerous, harmful, non-green here and hidden from hobby users in retail stores. I'm not looking for tons or bag of 50 kg but small package of 50 - 500 g.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

Thanks George! I have kept it under fan, it's humid outside but inside room it's in 50-60s. Let's hope I can save it.

I am in India and the most popular fungicide here is UPL SAAF (mix of Carbendazim and Mancozeb). Here is the link:
