Cactus Flower Sickness Help

Hello everyone, I recently got a cactus about 4 days ago (Monday Night). The first night everything was fine the flowers were beautiful and blooming but over the next couple days the flowers have closed and seem to burnt and droop.

After the first night (Monday night) in the morning (Tuesday morning) the flowers were closed which I thought was caused by the temperature/not enough sunlight so the next day I placed them across the corner where it was to in front of the windows and left the windows open all day to allow it sunlight. However, they didn’t bloom at night again.

The next day (Wednesday) I moved them outside next to my balcony to allow it more sunlight but instead it seems like it was too much sun and the flowers started to droop and flowers had black/brown spots. Later this same day I watered it at night and moved it farther from the balcony fence so it won’t get too much sunlight. Nothing changed as far as blooming.

The next day (Thursday) decided to move it to the corner of the balcony fence again to allow it direct sunlight after watering it, however this made things worse and made most flowers way more brown/black. But as a sign of hope, one flower bloomed fully last night while the rest are still mostly with brown/black spotting.

Today (Friday morning) the only flower that bloomed is still doing fine while some are not as droopy but still overall just a little droopy. Not as bad as they were yesterday afternoon though.

My question for everyone is what can I do to avoid to revive the other flowers if possible. The cactus seems to be a Cereus Peruvianus even though the person I bought it from told me it was San Pedro.

Order of pics should be Monday night, Tuesday morning,Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday morning (today)

Cereus flowers don't last for long. After flowering, the flowers usually start to wilt, and the dry up. I don't see anything wrong with it...

Agreed, often the flowers last just one night. Be happy you got a photo of it.

Cereus are night/early morning bloomers. Flowers usually last that day. They close up immediately and depending on location will wilt, turn black and fall off in a few days. I had one get pollinated and it took 45 days for the fruit to mature. On another note. Change your soil to a better quality cactus soil. It appears to be some kind of potting mix.

What soil would you recommend? And as for watering how often should I do it as well?
