Hard fungus

Post by Scarlettecacti »

Hello, everyone! Please help me confirm if these brown spots are fungus or just corking? I'm afraid it might be contagious if I mix it with my other cacti.. It's hard and kinda protruding. Is there anyway I can cure it or should I just leave it alone? Thanks in advance!

They look like scars to me. To be safe, you should quarantine it away from your other cacti and keep it under observation a few weeks. If they don't spread and don't produce any spore-bearing bodies, no need to worry about it.
