I have several Ariocarpus fissuratus f Big Bend. I bought seeds and sowed in 2003. I assume the ancestor came from this park.

Yes, they grow there. I have pictures of them growing in Black Gap WMA which is just east of Big Bend. I’ll post those later

Fabulous shots (as usual)! Echinocereus russanthus is one my favorites. If you have the patience to grow them from seed, try SB420. It has some of the most red and, longest spines of any I've seen of this species.

Awesome. I love Echinocereus, and while I don't have a bunch of Chihuahuan desert species of any genus, that plant looks super cool! Mesa Garden has seeds in stock... I might grab some. 😉

Thanks I was looking at what Mesa had last night in russanthus. You made up my mind. Of course in the "Strategy" thread i said I had too many cactus ](*,) I guess a few more wont hurt :mrgreen:
