Lophophora grafting on Trichocereus
Lophophora grafting on Trichocereus
This is my first attempt to graft a lophophora in a Trichocereus. But my trichocereus had on the time 1,30 metters.
This is the result 1 and a half year later.

hi friends,
Thank you for the replies. Is allways good to have some feedback.
Yes, the little side grafts didn´t make it. That time i tried to do so, based on some pictures. But i never realized how can be made the side graft.
After some time the little ones felt off
I can advise you to give it a try. This was my best trichocereus with my best lophophora. And it works fine =) they are healthy.

Re: Lophophora grafting on Trichocereus
Dear forum colleagues,
My life was going on circles, I didn't care so much about my cactus and a lot of them have died, unfortunately. I'm now taking care of them, identifying everyone that survived and start my collection again. This is my only pride, a successful grafting made several years ago of a lophophora williamssi on a trichocereus that now I think is a Peruvianus and not a pachanoi. I hope the pictures can inspire others.

Very impressive and pretty!
A cactus and succulent collector who especially likes Ariocarpus. …Though I have a bit of everything! Want some pictures? See my flickr! I also do art and such.

Yes indeed. I have grown a passion on this one. Many times I though on taking the babies to propagate but I lack on courage.gemhunter178 wrote:Very impressive and pretty!
How many years do you think this graft can last?

The stock seems pretty healthy and scion seems really healthy to me- I'd say it would last quite a while.
