propagator

Post by WisteriaLane »

Sorry this is more of a technical question: how do you call the tray in which seeds are sown in English? just seed tray or I can call it a propagator as well? thanks

seeds can be grown in anything but there are trays made for growing seeds. here you see 3 types the biggest is called a seed tray the middle sized one a 1\2 tray and the other (smaller one) is not a standard size

a propagator is where seeds are grown to give extra warmth and humidity. there are many types some with built in heating or lights or both.
this is a simple one which is just a cover that fits over a seed tray.

here is a page showing propagators, my small tray comes from the Super 7 propagator on that page
