Will,
I think you can do this with the current app. It shows the top three in the main plant page, but when you go to the photo page, you can see as may as you want and can re-arrange them by dragging and dropping.

Re: recommend tag source?
I've heard of people using label makers for this, but I've always had concerns about the waterproofness of this. Are there specific tapes that people get for this, or is the standard tape more waterproof than I think it is? Great idea using blinds. Those would hold up much better than the cheep labe...

Re: recommend tag source?
Those look like a good deal. The ones I'm using are the same thing, but I paid twice the price :? I wouldn't expect pencil to be a good way to label them. Regardless of what material the tags are made of, it will eventually wear off. I use fine tipped sharpies for my labels... they'll probably succu...

Alternatives to Anderson's "The Cactus Family"
I have heard from several sources now that "The Cactus Family" is the book to have for cactus enthusiasts, but as we all know, it is unfortunately out of print. Does anyone know of a more available (read: more affordable) alternative that gives a good rundown on cacti along the same lines ...

Re: Cactus Album app
Log entries are duplicated exactly, including any corresponding photos and plant linkage. If you're duplicating a plant, everything is copied to the duplicate except corresponding log entries. This is because the logs are meant to refer to particular events relating to an individual plant. Doesn't ...

Re: Beginner Friendly Seeds
Other succulents are in future plans, but right now I'm focusing on cacti. I would love to get into mesembs at some point, but I suspect many of those don't fall into the "hard to kill" category... Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. At this point, the majority of my wish list has sho...

Re: Cactus Album app
Duplicating entries will be in the Mac and PC versions. It's a good idea for iOS too, but I'll need to think how best to implement it. Maybe a long press on the item you want to duplicate? You already have an 'edit' button that doesn't appear to do anything other than giving access to a delete butt...

Re: Cactus Album app
I recently got the iOS version of this app, and am loving it. IMO, this is the best way to keep track of my small but rapidly growing collection. I do have a feature request: the ability to duplicate plants/entries would be awesome. I'm growing from seed, and I currently have an entry per pot of see...

Ok, cool. I never would have thought to look in "other succulents" for the cacti mix.

Re: Beginner Friendly Seeds
I think that's right that's all I've noticed. Probably because Mesa doesn't recommend growing cactus with different growth rates in the same pot ? Big fast growers will crowd out little slow growers too quickly. You could still do alright with their mixed species sowing a different species per pot ...

Cool! I might have to try this some time. Not sure they will like the climate up here though...

Re: Beginner Friendly Seeds
Thanks for all the great advice! It sounds like I wasn't too far off as many of the suggestions here are already on my list. I'll be sure to make them some of the first plantings. Vipassana - I'm seeing a lot of species mixes within a single genus on MG, but I'm not seeing a mix that goes across dif...

Re: Every day new flowers in the greenhouse in Köln
I think I'm going to buy just about every species that Mesa Gardens has for sale next season. Is there a list I'm missing? I've never seen much of a selection of hildewintera or cleistocactus from Mesa. I'm thinking of growing from seed, so I'm just going off the seed list currently on their websit...

Wanted: Pereskiopsis for Grafting Stock
I'm going to try growing some cactus from seed. While I'm at it, I'd like to give grafting a try to see how it works.
I'm willing to pay for a couple cuttings... I figure I'd rather send my money to someone on this forum than some random person on Ebay.
