I have more succulents than cacti because my boyfriend doesn't like me getting hurt on them... it's funny because it doesn't even bother me.

I took aloe cuttings a few months ago, I took one at the very base and one about halfway up the leaf. They aren't rooting, but they aren't rotting.

It's just the seedlings, they're this clearish cloudy white...

Yea, peroxide can bleach skin or hair, I know. I'm assuming it could do the same for cacti.

Seedlings turning white?

One of my seedling trays is turning white, which is weird. It was getting a little fungal so I watered it with diluted peroxide. Other than that, I can't think of anything I've done. The seedlings still feel firm, they are just... white.

As long as we aren't sending peyotes I think it's okay. There's some laws reguarding sending plants to other countries they don't normally grow in. I don't know much about them though.

I'm glad to hear that because I'm a pretty visual based person. I came hear to talk about cacti and it remains my primary goal, so I guess I'm safe there. I agree on the trade system. We could all get a list of our succulents and cacti together and post it somewhere, with a link to e-mail us or some...

A while ago I tried to fry up some of the leaves because I heard they were good that way, but mine, they were not good. I think it was because I took leaves when there was no new growth, so they were tough and the inside of them seemed to disinigrate. We might go to the supermarket tonight, between ...

When you go to "post reply" at the top, there will be a button that says "Img". Hit it, type the link to the picture, then hit the button again. Or, I use photobucket, and it lets me copy the whole thing from the bottom text box.

If I use a saucer, I usually place a few small pots in it and let them soak it all up. Right now I have a few tupperwares set out to catch rain though, and I let them sit until the pot is dark about halfway up. If it's not raining hard, I'll let my cacti sit out. So I guess they do get some watering...

For me, watering true cacti seems to work best when done from the bottom, but it doesn't seem to matter with succulents. I water them from the bottom too though, mostly out of habit. Cacti, when watered from the bottom, seems to be hardier to me. I'm guessing it's because it encourages the roots to ...
