Re: Cactus-aventures.com (kaktitos) review

I couldn't decide what lobivia do i want so i ordered 1000 seeds of lobivia mix. I don't know the germination rate but i'd say maybe 75%. However, there seems to be a predominant shape between the seedlings so i don't think the mix is evenly distributed

Re: Cool plant...I'm clueless

Wow thanks guys! The photo is actually taken in Beirut where i go to college 3 days a week. I ended up not getting it because it was a bit pricey and i don't have a good track record wirh euphorbia. Cool plant...I'm clueless

Hello everyone
I saw this plant today at the nursery. It is a very peculiar plant and i haven't seen anything like it. Is it some sort of epiphyte?
Disclaimer: the dual spines make me think euphorbia but i have never seen a dangling euphorbia so :-k

Re: Nevada desert today. What cacti?

Awesome pics! I was wondering how you all are able to tell the plant from just the photo. What I mean is, I think there are several mammillaria types that have a similar appearance with the barbed spines. How does one distinguish? Are the fruits the giveaway? Is the location a clue? Some day I hope...
