Re: Degrafting moon cactus
I think it will survive on its own root. If you let it grow bigger before degrafting, I think you will have better chance of success.

Help with degrafting with myrtillo stock
I am thinking of degrafting my cacti that is grafted on myrtillo. All of the grafted cactus that I have are on hylocereus. I know that myrtillo is permanent stock but I just prefer non grafted look. Anyone did this before? Is the vascular ring on myrtillo stock grows into the scion like in hylocereus?

Re: Degrafting
You are very good at this! I myself killed so many plants while trying to degraft :? . If maybe you can help me: 1. with the short vacular bundle method, there is open wound in the contact area between scion and stock. Won't this open wound cause rot if the whole thing is put on wet medium right awa...

adenia globosa cutting
Does anyone know if Adenia globosa grown from cutting can form caudex?
I saw a posting online said that the cuttings can form caudex, although much slower compared to seed grown.

Re: This orange tissue is making my grafts fail. Help!
when this happened to my grafted plants, I assumed that it happened because of unsanitary blade or because the scion was rotting

Re: Very slow growing cacti that don't do much
Have you tried gibberellic acid solution? This works for me to wake up cactus/succulent that just won't do anything. Spray a small amout daily on tip/growth point. Usually the plant will respond in couple of days by showing new growth. Just remember to stop using immediately once you see the slighte...

Re: Looking for aloe (kumara) plicatilis seeds
Love it since the first time seeing it online. This plant is not readily available in my country, so I have been trying to find seeds. I managed to find two sellers from Europe, bought from both of them but no luck so far. As tree aloe I believe the plant is able to produce abundant flowers (and se...

Re: Looking for aloe (kumara) plicatilis seeds
I managed to find two sellers from Europe, bought from both of them but no luck so far. What exactly do you mean ? You received those seeds but they didn't sprout ? Or yet ? Aloes are rather fast germinators, so I'm wondering what's going on ;) One of them never arrived, and one of them did not spr...

Moving agave into shallow planter
Currently I have an agave parryi sitting in deep regular garden pot. The leaves spread is now wider than the pot, so watering becomes quite difficult. I want to move it to wider planter, with the new planter is about half the height of current pot. Would you say it is a good idea? I assume xeric pla...
