Re: Euphorbia bupleurifolia . . .
When I bought my E. bupleurifolia 10 years ago in a 4" pot it had a single 'cone,' and it now has nine offsets. I grow it outdoors, and only bring it in on the nights where the temperatures drop below 30 degrees. I water and fertilize it weekly during the summer growing season. It took 1st Plac...

Re: It looks like . . .
I got it all backwards . . . I'll try watering in the winter and early spring, then keep them on the dry side during the late spring and summer months. And, thanks for those pictures, they seem to be quite happy in the ground with the dry, hot summers in Arizona. Thanks peterb.

Re: Pereskia . . . a cactus in transition.
Is anyone out there growing Pereskia? The Pereskia aculeata 'godseffiana' I started from a cutting last Spring, and the Pereskia grandiflora 'Rose Cactus' is from seeds I started in December '07. Re: Reluctant to bloom . . .
Hi, guys and gals, I've had this Tephrocactus articulatus var. diadematus (Spruce cone cactus) for more than three years, and has to date not bloomed. I've grown it in full sun, and partial sun, but it just will not flower. Does any one have this plant, and has it bloomed for you? I water it once a ...

Re: Echinopsis hybrid . . .
This Echinopsis hybrid cactus is one of my most undemanding, reliable, and always produces beautiful flowers I never get tired of.

Re: Pachypodium cuttings . . .
Hi, Has anyone tried cuttings of Pachypodium rosulatum or P. succulentum? Last year I tried P. succulentum with no success. I used root-tone on 4"-5" pieces in damp soil, and none rooted. I'm pruning back both plants and would like to try again. Any suggestions? http://www.cactiguide.com/f...

And, Echinocereus pectinatus var. rigidissimus, that I'm hoping to get seeds from. http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/1332_Echinocereus_pectinatus_v_r...

Re: 2008 Flowering . . .
For some reason, this year has been one of the best blooming for my plants. The winter was colder than usual, with two weeks dropping into the 20s, and an unusually cool spring. Has anyone else seen a higher flowering of their cacti/succulents this year? I guess they enjoyed the cold, wet winter, an...
