Thanks guys. Yup, I know they are illegal to distribute and own, but I figure it should be ok.

I am an attorney and have some criminal defense attorney friends. All jokes aside, I think I will take the chance as I would rather get arrested than divorced.

Lophophora diffusa--Can you confirm without flowers?

I have to sell a lot of my cactus (husband wants some of the backyard back for entertaining :x ) and so I am attempting to correctly name them all but I am having a hard time trying to name these three. They all look the same really and to me look like diffusa. What do you all think? I guess it does...

Awesome! I missed seeing all of your pictures (why did I stay away so long?)

I love them all, but my favorite is the Mammillaria Perez-de-la-Rosae. Looks so dainty even with those hooks near it.

Nice collection Byron. I agree with Tony, you still have lots of space left!

Where are you located exactly? Maybe we are neighbors?

Has anyone ever dealt with Planta Seca nursery in Alamo, CA? I ran across a few of their plants on eBay and they mention their website (http://www.plantaseca.com). They seem to have some VERY nice plants, but they seem to be universally expensive. He seems to have some interesting stuff. Take a loo...

Kika, that top dressing looks very familiar. Did you get it from Cactus Jungle? Cactus Jungle is a great nursery to buy plants and homemade supplies in the SF Bay Area. They sell their cacti in Terra Cotta pots so you don't have to worry about potting them when you get home. Their homemade supplies...

Darryl, Your first one is also sometimes called: Caralluma piaranthoides. With all the revisions, I don't know which is the "correct" name. Your second looks like Orbeopsis melanatha because of the shape of the stems and the cresting. I read they tend to crest quite easily. Can't wait to s...

Thanks for the input guys! I guess nature is taking its natural course.

Kinda freaked me out a bit, but now I am really appreciating it and not worrying about why.

I found it just for you Bill! I am not complaining about the blooms, just a bit confused that my "Christmas Cactus" is blooming in Sept! It's pretty though. http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/1378_IMG_1399_1.jpg http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/1378_IMG_1402_1.jpg http://www.ca...
