Re: Purging old/inactive members

Is there a way to make or restrict ID requests forum for only those here for 90 days or a certain # of posts before it allows you to post there? Just a thought for the hit and run ID request people...

Re: Stagnant seedlings HELP

Ya I kind of figured they were lacking lighting. I just got my LED lights maybe 2 months back and some have seemed to perk up a bit since running them, but some not at all figured some are just very slow growing. If I had it my way they’d be on a timer for 12-14 hours a day, not just when we are at ...

Re: Unknown Gymno

Yes it was the biggest boy they had, and they had it hidden below the surface so didn’t see them until I got it home and repotted it. I wish I grabbed the one with 2 smaller ones inside rather then this. To get home and repot to see 2 big overwater splits on the bottom. Nurseries are getting very tr...

If you haven't seen it before, read this: http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=42129 I just posted an update on Friday, and it'll answer your question about systemics. Thanks again Steve for coming to the rescue, a very informative article, the product I have is a powder version...

Re: Question about a product?

Well I did a spray a spray on a couple of them with the Bon Neem II being they weren’t any of my favorites plants. So far looking like they’ll survive. I will post further updates once I repot and water them a few times to see how they hold up. But it did kill all the mealies on them bad thing is I ...

Stagnant seedlings HELP

I really questioned my methods yesterday when someone on the forum I sent seeds to over the winter messaged me with pics and their seedlings are probably 2x bigger in size then mine from last September. So my question is do seedlings stay stagnant and eventually die off even though they don’t appear...

Re: RIP Melocactus Azureus....

Well I am now down to just 1 Azureus from 3 my big boy with a cephalium is still kicking, was dinking around outside and almost the same exact case, when I picked up the pot to find the same ugly white rot to the back. Only been given water 1 x so far after going outside a month or so ago, not sure ...

Re: Torch cactus, part 2

Those are definitely not Trichocereus Grandiflorus seeds they are small and black and the fruit is bright red to pink in color, looks like the reminants of an unpollinated bud to me. If you need some seeds of these hit me up as I have quite a few available of this species.

Re: Anyone have anything to trade?

Thanks for the offer, but I also have a few of those growing right now. I try to avoid glocoids in collecting opuntia, but I’m sure I could get you a lotta pads cuttings down here, let me know if there are any varieties you are looking for.
