Re: Growing Lithops and Other Difficult Mesembs
Are you sure these are old enough to flower already? They look young to me. That is the main problem.. They were store bought and they came in that horrible peat mess, I repotted them ASAP in pure pumice (was that a good idea or should I repot them next year with a bit of plain dirt without peat? l...

How do they look, they look plump and all but still no flowerin...

Re: Mealybugs and insecticide
If the plants are removed from the soil the plants are in shock and don't take up water. Systemic insecticide works by the plant drinking it and becoming to bugs. However, what you did should be effective to kill them Thank you Elie, looking forward to repot them in a week or so, they are my oldest...

Re: Mealybugs and insecticide
If it's inside i'd go ahead and soak the plants (plant and soil) into the full strength systemic solution unless you have plants with waxy coatings. In that case just soak the pot and soil for 10-15 minutes or so. Your plants have to be active to take up the systemic. Dormant plants dont take up an...

Hey there people, I have a question regarding watering my P. nelii, I have 3 in the same pot and 2 don't have any old leaves left but one still got 2 pairs of leaves, the old pair is getting softer each day. I shouldn't water the 2 pairs one but I should water the single pair ones right? Should I re...

Re: Question about having my cacti outside.
I bought a small greenhouse for tropical succulents. The problem with a greenhouse is very high humidity and would recommend using something to remove the excess humidity. I believe that many cactus can survive low temperatures but not with high humidity. I live in a semi arid environment and the d...

Question about having my cacti outside.
Hey there guys,
I normally have my cacti outside in my south balcony, but as I live near the sea, now the humidty is very high at night and they wake up a bit on the wet side...
Should I move them inside, to that balcony window or leave them outside?
They are all in a shelf.
Cheers
