could be E.enopla or E.ferox;
from one side thicker thorns like enopla, but shorter and less reddish.
for me also more probable E.ferox

the dark one on 1st photo and flower on 2nd is the Setiechinopsis mirabilis.
Like the one very much; blooming frequently, the flower has nice mild scent.

hi, 1. ID Can anyone recognize the ID ? Is it Eriosyce ? Pyrrhocactus ? Any other ? 2. Taxonomy What's in fact the diff.between Eriosyce, Pyrrhocactus, Neochilenia and Neoporteria ? One group contains another ones ? Any diff. between these species ? I have problems with the taxonomy, what ID to use....

just bought my 2nd Melocactus (1st was the M.matanzanus).
Nice, healthy, with cephalium.
Diameter ca. 15cm (6,3 inches).
Any idea what ID it is ?

hi, Among many Opuntias and Cylindropuntias I've planted the one. I can't find the ID of it, however suppose it's (Austro)Cylidropuntia, isn't it ? C.spinosior ? Or I'm wrong ? Can you name the ID ? Is it winter hardy ? In my zone -5C Dec-Jan and -10C-15C in Feb is rather usual (except last 3 years ...
