Re: Updated seed lists
Hi all, what's the general feedback on germination rate and quality of seeds from ADBLPS? I recently ordered many seeds from them. Very funnily, my first order went to Indonesia instead of coming to India due to a goof up by French post office. Luckily Indonesia custom department decided to head it...

Re: Three new succulents
My best guesses are
1. Echeveria "Topsy turvy" or some similar hybrid
2. some x Pachyveria
3. no idea

Re: My greenhouse and plants
Such a great spot! When I built my tiny ''greenhouse'', just finding a good spot gave me headaches.

Re: About the requests for ID, again. We need to consider moderating
Maybe we can reach some middle ground here. Make some sticky or announcement in the ID section with very clear rules. These should encourage new people to go on with their hobby but prevent an abuse on this forum's members goodwill and patience.

It's probably this one, since it is quite common and easy to grow.

Re: Moon Cactus Scion Growtg
So the yellow part that fell off and is on top of the dirt I can plant to grow another cactus? Uhm, no. Those yellow pups, as the mother plant, have suffered a mutation and they lack chlorophyll, so they can't feed themselves. This is why you'll always find these abnormal colour (yellow, red, etc, ...

Re: Fertiliser Dosage
Yeah, usually people recommend quarter to half the strength for cacti, so 5ml to 2-4l of water should be enough. Some even say cacti don't need any sort of fertilizer if your soil has the necessary nutrients in it. Others use only microelements fertilizer. I started using some seaweed concentrate, b...

Your cactus is flowering. I mean, besides all those yellow pups, that thing on top is a flower bud.

Re: How to store Seeds?
I guess you're not looking for a basic answer as a dry and cool place. I kept some seeds for a few months in the fridge (~4C) in small paper bags within a cardboard box. I guess you have to be careful when you're collecting seeds from your own cacti, as you want them to be dry before storing. Moist ...

Thank you! Saved that whole playlist. I always tend to find out about these things only after they already happened, so these videos are a great help.

Re: germinating rebutia seeds
Ohhh at lower temps. I think I might have cooked my Rebutia seeds then. I have them in a baggie outside on my patio. They’re not in direct sunlight but it was recently around 106°F—or 41°C—here in SoCal and I think they may have gotten cooked. 😢 I have not seen any signs of germination and it’s bee...
