That is often called Euphorbia acrurensis , supposedly E.abyssinica .
Ive seen it in gardens in southern Spain and France. I dont know what to make of the plant, because there is a lot of "supposedly" with it involved.

No. Pachycereus schotii would resemble a polaskia with weird spines, usually with 4 or 5 ribs. At this height the spines should also be extra long

thanks. a google image search shows similar cacti however multiple branches appear to sprout at base. does this spp. also grow branches mid stem? Looking purely at the tip it reminds me of Espostoa guenteri. Other than that it could be a related Haageocereus or Weberbauerocereus, but far less likely. Either way, espotoa group/
