Heya guys. I have some issues with my grafted pereskiopsis and wanted to know what the issue might be http://imgur.com/gallery/egWtTlL The first picture is a astro onzuka grafted about month ago. The leaf is starting to turn yellow from the tip out? Its been on fertilizer and only 2 grafts out of 40...

Re: Pereskiopsis length before grafting
Late to the party but my thin short stock with 1 single leaf grew my astro scion so fast it split it open. I think it really depends on what type of plant your growing. I say the slower they grow. The taller you want it to be. My copiapoa cinerea is growing faster than all my astrophytums because i ...

Re: Tebuconazole and Trifloxystrobin: safe for very small cacti seedlings?
alot of the orange spots can be stopped if you pull your seedling out of 100% humidity. ive had this happen, airflow is more important than anything ever in growing seedlings. soil can be dogshit, seeds can be crap and infected. but airflow will solve that issue. also id go with the trizole fungicid...

seedlings prevention from mites
hi guys, i grow my seedlings outside of humidity once they hatch, and most of them are between 1 week and 2 months old ( i had a recent batch that i had to put in alongside the old ones.) https://imgur.com/gallery/rppGnbt. now i recently had some small red spider mite outbreak on some of my mature c...

Re: SuffOil against spidermites- anyone who have tried it?
i hear dusting with dt earth is one of the best ways to kill mites. as they can build superresistance to most insecticides if you dont kill them with the first few batches?. theres no way to build resistance to tiny shards of glass penetrating ur arms and legs

Re: lophophora williamsii Seed request
The seeds germinated. And Instead of leaving everything sealed I opened the containers prematurely. It introduced pathogens which quickly caused the seedling to rot. I'm interested in trying again now that I have moved . I have set up a "nursery" with my T-5 bulbs and shelving in my garag...

Re: fungus issues
yea thanks this makes so much sense to me. i see hundreds of posts where people just get terrible rot and such. it doesnt even mimic natural habitat. (unless your in the flood planes where some lophs grow from). the one thing i dont get is, how can there be no fungus for 2 weeks straight and then po...

hi guys, i tried to grow some astrophytums last time and they all rotted (orange rot) to death in a container (with a lid). so i tried again with a baggie method, microwaved the soil (crushed granite, garden soil perlite), sterilized the water, and did a h2o2 dip for the seeds. put them in a new bag...

where do i get systemic fungicide in canada?

Re: Astrophytum seedlings red spot.
Some of them look a bit stretched. More light, lower humidity and perhaps spray with a systemic fungicide like banrot if you are worried. Is there a good supply of calcium in the mix? Why do the seedlings have free water on them? That should never happen. Are they warm? At this stage temps should n...
