Re: Eulychnia castanea f. varispiralis brown and not growing

Thank you Steve
In that case I will stop using Miracle grow for my cacti but keep it for my succulents like Kalanchoes.
For my cacti I will go back to chempak cacti feed

Re: Eulychnia castanea f. varispiralis brown and not growing

Thanks Steve That's be honest it's been in various pitting mediums and I've used various fertilisers over the past two years. But at the moment it's just in John innes 2 and some cat litter. Feeding it miracle grow. Previously I had used cacti fertiliser like chempak etc https://i.ibb.co/Fz8qhNV/IMG...

Eulychnia castanea f. varispiralis brown and not growing

Hi there I've had this Eulychnia castanea f. varispiralis for a few years but slowly it's turned all brown and won't grow anymore. Do you think I should cut it somewhere to remove the unhealthy growth? I have already cut some of the right stem but there's no new growth after a year. So thinking I sh...

Re: Yellow spots on cacti

Ah sorry I'm so lazy. I just googled it and found out that its rust spots caused by rust fungus. Will spray it with neem oil solution to destroy the fungus causing it.

Yellow spots on cacti

There's some yellow and rust like marks on my new Myrtillocactus geometrizans cv. fukurokuryuzinboku. It seems like this is very common amongst this type of cacti. But any idea how to stop it as I think it may hinder its growth. Thank you https://i.ibb.co/TtpdZBY/0143-A71-C-F994-4-E86-9-EC7-0850623-...

Re: A Crassula?

Cool - if it's not the patented variety, you're free to sell all you want. Looks like there's quite a few offsets on that plant already, you could easily spare some. Cool thanks it does look great when multiple plants are planted together like that rather than singular plants. I'll have to start do...

Re: A Crassula?

Might also be Kalanchoe thyrsiflora cv. Variegated Desert Rose, which is similar. In either case it's a patented variety, so selling starts without a license from the patent owner is pirating. That's why the price is so high! I guess that makes it special :) but Kalanchoe Luciae and Thyrisiflora lo...

Re: A Crassula?

Kalanchoe luciae is a very weird plant, not surprising you couldn't recognize it as a Kalanchoe. That is a steep price, but it's easy to propagate - you could recoup the investment by selling starts. :D Thank you! Tbh I don't think I've seen this particular one for sale before. Usually it's those b...

:o :o I collect Kalanchoes yet had no idea. No wonder I was so drawn to it! I love it. But £48 pounds might be bit too much although it is really nice!
Thank you!!

Thanks I guess this is highly likely to be the solitary form then. Yet not so melted wax as it's too smooth looking.

Re: Trichocereus Bridge soo monster?

I think you might have the semi-monstrose, called Trichocereus bridgesii f. monstrose/semi-monstrose 'Melted Wax', or just normal TBM. There is also a Tricho bridgesii f. monstrose (Long joined type) which is much longer then the normal TBM. I had a look at your photo again, and I think you might h...

Trichocereus Bridgesii monster?

Just wondering if this really is what it is labelled as because the previous versions I have seen always offset and clump. Whereas this has no offsets and no clumps and is so big.
