Wanted in Europe
Hi everyone, I am looking for the following plants Myrtillocactus geometrizans monstrose (aka breast cactus) on own roots, grafts or cuttings. I only need 4 or 5 of these, I intend to multiply them myself. Pereskiopsis Spathula cuttings or on own roots. Would prefer rooted older plants. I am willing...

Mutations
Just for a laugh, I wondered if its possible to use any method to force mutations into some of my plants. I know there is a source of radiation in a smoke detector. I wonder what would happen if i irradiated some seeds/seedlings. Anyone ever tried something like this before?

Colour Spectrum
I have been looking at some 125W flourescant growlamps. I figured metal halide would be a bit excessive for seedlings. I was wondering what colour spectrum to use, as the bulbs come in two colour temperatures 2700K and 8700K, that is, red and blue. Which to buy?

Sorted the algae out once and for all. I used heavily diluted aquarium algae treatment. Started with a very weak solution and every 4-5 days re-applied with it a little stronger. The algae has disappeared and the guy in the store assured me the stuff breaks down very quickly into harmless byproducts.

Ill try the sulphur. Most of them seem to be healing ok, there are 2 that I have binned. Its been quite a steep learning curve for me with cacti. I figured they would be easier to keep than normal plants. I have tried to neglect them, I just still can't believe how little water they need. Ill let th...
