Possibly the one circled is Echinocereus rigidissimus subs.rubispinus? A form with darker red spines originally discovered by Alfred Lau. Some are better grown than others, without the obvious constrictions in their growth. Were these the ones he was charging extra for? For me he best one is third from the left, after that the three smaller ones on the right which show more even growth. That is just a matter of opinion though. Spine ...
