Re: Help ID Mr. Grungie Puhleez

Look like they were subjected to industrial pollution in the past with only the crowns now growing out normal coloured spination? Spines do dull with age, but they just look dirty? Hello Everyone-

Still haven’t a clue as to the ID of this cactus. Thought I’d bump it back up to see if any new info would arise.

Thanks for reading and MASS thanks for replying.

Re: Cultivation of a Dioscorea Elephantipes.

Hello Dioscorea elephantipes Lovers- After going through about 10 pages so far, I've gathered that my wife's De loonnng side branches is a normal thing. With it receiving morning sunlight and having the size caudex it has, it's just trying to protect itself from the sunlight when it produces it's le...

could you post another picture this time not distorted?
I'll try. That pic had to "resized" to be accepted here.

Updated pic and included pic of one of it's longer side branches. Hopefully it helps.

Re: Help ID Mr. Grungie Puhleez

Hello Cacti Lovers-

Visited several cacti nurseries in Vegas, Arizona and San Diego last week and showed images of cactus in question and none of the employees could not ID it. Most said maybe a sick grusonii. Thought I'd get a more definite answer on my trip.

Re: Help ID Mr. Grungie Puhleez

If these don't belong to you, and you don't have any idea where they are located, can I ask why? Since the good one is in a pot and the other is sitting in paper, are thinking of buying these? Those pics were grabbed off the web as the wife and I were looking for cacti to add to our collection. Wou...
