Thanks BryanT, I’m not sure it’s sunburn, I’m in the UK and it’s winter here so the temperature indoors is relatively low and the sun low on the horizon for most the day.

Thanks all, in answer yes the plant is and has always been indoors.

Is it the spider mites that are causing the abnormal growth at the tops as well?

Thanks aeonium2003, is the growth the top also normal? Looks like it is growing an off shoot rather than growing as I would expect but I’m a complete novice at this.

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone can offer some advice, I had a dragon fruit cactus that snapped in two under its own weight. I let the snapped end harden up and reported to help stimulate root growth. However the cactus has started pushing out roots about the surface, something I believe is symptomatic ...
