Re: Mealies and flat mites and scale -- oh, my! (Updated 6/11/2022)

I have tried hot bath method with soap and so far 4 month later no sign of root mealies. I did remove all soil on some lophophora and left only tap root, let it callous and repeat hot soak and soap. They had aldready new roots before being potted. I have them potted in a transparent pot so if any me...

Hello
They look fine to me. Try poke gently with your finger If it doesnt cave in its fine. Lophophora can feel a bit squishy.

Re: Help! T. Peruvianus is developing a couple purple areas! Yikes

But I do belevie Edema look different on Peruvianus because of the Alkoloids that forms the black ooze. I also have same spots occuring on top spot of Peruvianus, i will post picture tomorow...

Re: Help! T. Peruvianus is developing a couple purple areas! Yikes

Another idea. It might just be edema from overwatering because you mentioned you just watered it and it looks very plump. The Black ooze is alkoloids. I have had same issues, it usually scars the damage but it can also be fatal because there is an opening for bacteria. See picture from my cactus dam...
