Re: Turbinicarpus
They are offsets I cut off a bunch of them a couple years ago and even through are big and flowering, no one buys them at the shows Yes, it's an interesting phenomenon that I've also observed. I'm not professional grower but a hobbyist and I don't attend shows regularly but when I have excess seedl...

Re: are all? cactus fruit edible
Llifle online Encyclopedia says following: " Fruit: 4-10 cm long, red, green or (usually) yellow coloured pear-shaped and more or less triangular. This fruit is a curious proliferating structure, bearing 3-4 cm long leaves, which ultimately fall away, looking more part of the stems than actual ...

Best regards,
Nino

G'morning xiaohuage123, jarmilaes is a man? Honestly I do not know the exact meaning of "jarmilae". Since "Jarmila" is a Slavic origin female given name, jarmilae is not a man, I think. Some one of this forum member may be able to tell the exact meaning. Frank It's a name propos...

Re: Zac's Seedlings 2024
:-k Incredible. Considering all the precautions you have taken, I don't understand how it's possible for mold to proliferate to such extent in such short time. Have you sterilized the pots/tray/dome? You can try spraying with more fungicide, although I don't have any experience in using those. If se...

Re: Vgames collection
Thanks for the answer. I think subterraneus and booleanus are synonyms; accepted name (at least in Llifle Database) is Turbinicarpus mandragora ssp. booleanus.

Re: Vgames collection
Nice pictures
I guess that drooping Turbinicarpus in the first picture is T. booleanus. I'm curious if the large one with brown epidermis in the last picture is T. bonatzii? It looks pretty old (I'd guess at least 20 years).
Best regards,
Nino

Re: 2x Tephrocactus and cylindropuntia?
I think the last one is Cumulopuntia (Maihueniopsis), possibly C. boliviana (dactylifera).
