Re: Question on nomenclature

Hello, i have the same question here, i've just bought an Echinopsis subdenudata, and im trying to figure out if by the current taxonomy it is Lobivia subdenudata or Lobivia ancistrophora?Because all of these two are recognized currently, and my question is what are the differences between these 2?...

Re: A. caput-medusae X A. miriostigma?

I did a similar cross-pollination but I got a very different result. Pollination was carried out in 2011. Species 1: caput-medusae Species 2: myriostigma v nudum Pollen receiver X Pollen supplier Case A: 1 x 2, it was told all seedlings were captu-medusae in this case and I did not do this case. Ca...

Re: Moorten Botanical Garden is still opened

Being in Palm Springs I visited this garden last month. Lot of plants, hard to judge how many species. Will show you some of the photos I've taken there. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53635884714_3de1f5ed74_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53635756878_2f6be54306_b.jpg https://live.st...

Re: Oldest plant in your collection

She did NOT like being repotted but was bursting ...

Re: Are you growing your cacti in a soilless mix?

I want to repot my echinopsis oxygona and some other cacti, in a few days, because of this i made some cactus soil with 20 % soil, 20% coconut coir, 30 % crushed red brick and tiles, 10 % river sand, 10 % perlite and 10 % seramis. Until now it was ok with soil from the garden, will it tolerate that...
