Base of cactus turning brown.
I recently purchased this cactus and it is now starting to turn into a weird color. I only water once a month and it receives 3 to 5 hours of direct sunlight every day. For the rest of the day it receives great light but no direct sunlight. I live in the tropics and it’s been dry and around 90° late...

On this one I have no idea
On this one I draw a total Blanc. No idea what it could be. It had dried flowers with seeds when I first got it.
Thank you so much for your help.

Re: When and how often to water Adenium cuttings
Water when a cutting has developed roots that can take up the water. Earlier than that is useless. Developing roots can take many weeks to even months for most cuttings. I do wonder if Adenium can be grown from cuttings. But then again, it will not hurt to try it when there is no rescue possible in...

Blooming cactus for the tropics
Hello everyone, I’ve recently gotten back into cacti with my 7 year old son. Since I’ve last grown cacti I’ve now moved to northern Honduras. So I’m in very different climate conditions now from what I was used to. Now here comes my question. Can somebody recommend us some cool flowering cacti that ...

When and how often to water Adenium cuttings
Hello everyone, I’ve recently gotten my hands on a large Adenium that was planted outside and was rotting from the bottom up. So I took about twenty 6 to 8 inch cuttings from the healthy parts. I’ve dunked the wound in cinnamon and I’ve let them dry for a week. Now I’ve planted them into dry soil (5...
