Shading
I just installed a 30% sun shading for my southern exposure lean to greenhouse roof. Live near Baltimore me do you think it is too much shading for cactus without it using just the clear poltroon the plants were cooking

Re: Positive identification needed

Pretty plant, easily can be one of uncommon unnamed forms of something, or an accidental cross. Try postin...

Re: Leaves fall off easily
:D I think it is Tylecodon schaeferianus. There is a very similar one called T. bucholzianus but I feel yours is a better fit for T. schaeferianus since the leaves are more club shaped instead of pointed, but google them both and see for yourself. I looked up both and I definitely agree with you it ...

Re: Leaves fall off easily
It is a Tylecodon. I have that plant but can't remember the species at the moment. If no one else chimes in first I'll check on the name later. It is a winter grower so it is no surprise that it is getting ready to drop its leaves. Once the leaves start to drop cut off the water or you will rot it....

Re: Want to grow rebutias
Your welcome, looking forward to it. Rebutias only need to get to about 1 cm/.4 inch in diameter to bloom - if you can get them to that size in one season, they should be ready to bloom the following spring. If they're smaller than that, I'd just keep them growing over the winter. Sooner you get th...
