Well I have been a bad, bad cacti/succulent mom. My bum knee has been causing me grief(surgery in October) and the eye I had laser surgery on a couple of months ago is well causing me huge grief. My distance eye and everything is blurry. None the less, no more excuses. I haven't taken pictures of my...

You wait one minute too long to take pictures and the flowers close up and go to sleep. I will try harder tomorrow.

None of my friends are in to succulents or cacti. Therefore, I can only post my excitement here.

Nice neighbours! NOT! Good luck on finding a new home and property and selling yours. Hope the neighbours aren't outside being fidiots when you show your place.

Best of luck!

Mealy Bugs :o( and flowers :o)

Well, I moved a sedum outside yesterday. Guess I hadn't paid close attention to it as it has many mealy bugs. Not even trying to save it. In the garbage it went. Thankfully was not in a room with anything close to it. On the bright side, two cactus and one succulent has flowers. Maybe the succulent ...

OK,Michigan is close to Ontario. Could hubby come to my place and build me a winter rack too but without the bottom shelf as I don't have floor to ceiling windows. I would so appreciate it when hubby builds yours, to send me the plans. The lighting you are using etc. Then I can ask my boyfriend to b...

OMG, your landscaping is beautiful! I would love to have my front yard, if I had one, look like that. I am sorry about the dog but where I live, we are not allowed to have dogs run free except in leash free parks. The dog shouldn't have been in your yard. Here the dog owner would get the fine! And n...

Di, what is the overnight minimum temperature in the room that you have the Adenium ? When growing well and healthy, there are some species that can tolerate down to freezing, but the very soft and bloated Adenium obesum plants that most people get, grown enmasse in Thailand or Florida, are used to...

Daiv, help please and all others as well.......

I have more cacti to plant. As I have already killed some of my succulents, I don't want to lose more. The cacti I have seem to be happy in the soil mix I have them in which is a rich cactus soil mix and a not rich soil mix. Since joining this forum, I have been adding perlite. Since reading more po...

Hello Di, I did pause when writing "easier stuff". :) Written words lack tone and emotion and can easily be misunderstood. I never want to offend. "Easier stuff" in the sense I (or others) can provide a definition to something relatively static e.g. mineral soil. Growing advice ...

Di, this might tickle your fancy :) http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9807 -R Of course, it could also be an alien space ostrich with it head in the sand, with particularly large mammary glands (not sure if I can say b**bs on this forum) wearing a hoola skirt. Legs lost in an accident.
