Mammillaria
That's a pretty vigorous one, and generous with (real!) flowers too. Yes the Mammillaria will grow lots of small pink flowers eventually, they will produce a ton of viable seed. I harvested a ton of seeds from a fairly large Mammillaria spinosissima last year, the seeds are growing great this year....

What I Would Do
I would put them in an area where they get filtered sunlight for a week and a half or two weeks. Any area that has foliage to break up the amount of sunlight the seedlings are getting will work. Direct sunlight will cook the little guys, they're accustomed to the nice cool light of the T5's. I have ...

Re: 2nd One
The 2nd ones look like a Mammillaria species I am growing, I forget the species name though...or maybe it was a Rebutia species. Either way I will have to check my grow log and see what I planted, I will get back to this post later. I think yours are either Mammillaria columbiana or something close...

Whats up with this?
Every time new offsets appear they start out purplish and shriveled. Once they grow out a bit they turn normal color when watered regularly, but if they do not get watered for a couple weeks the offsets turn purplish again and shrivel a bit. At first I thought there was rot inside the cacti, but tha...

Anyways I do not know the ID, when I proposed an ID in the ID section other members said this one is a mutt. http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/2556_IMG_0162_1.jpg http://www.cactiguide.com/for...

HELP! Cacti Dermatitis
I have some horrible dermatitis on my hands from getting stuck by the infamous jumping cholla. I have several in my collection and while re-potting another cactus I brushed my knuckles up against one of them. It itches and I have had it for about 5 months now, I have tried a number of solutions but ...
