Cacti are very hardy plants. 30 year without repotting is a feat itself. If they're still alive you have to repot them as usual cacti, but try to take away all old soil. Fill a pot with cactus soil and add some poor sand on the surface. Put your cactus on a sand and press a bit. Not very often in sell, very pretty IMHO ( I have 2 :) ).
But it grows very huge and it's really perfect plant for southern frontyard in company with some agaves and yuccas.

There're 2 different plants on the pictures:
1st Echinocactus grusonii var. intermedius, etiolated
2nd Echinopsis oxygona with offsprings

There's a big list of mammillarias with large flowers (eg sheldonii, louisae, theresae, saboae, lossfeldiana, guelzowiana(=Krainzia) etc).
All Turbinicarpus are small with flowers from very early age.

Check with looking glass, mb red mites.
If no, some fungi infection, needs local care.

I want to remind only that in many cases it's very useful at beginning to treat plant's cut surfaces with hydrogen peroxide 3%.

I've got a cutting of same euphorbia 2 years ago and picked it in dry cactus soil for all winter. In spring it begun to grow as normal young plant.

I have about 30 y old saguaro which is about 20 cm high for my greatest shame. :)
Fortunately I've got possibility to grow some pot plants 4.5 thousand km south from here so I hope my saguaro growth rate will extremely encrease. :D
