Re: NOID

Daiv - That guy I actually was aware of! Somehow couldn't quite put THAT into context! And I see the mild winter (or even Upgrade =D> ) hasn't put your humor into dormancy :D. !

Re: New Kind of Spam

Think you might have a Spammer under Cactus ID, following "A Wedding Gift" (Not the poster of orig. ID quest.)

NOID

Since I'm clueless to its meaning, clueless where to post! What's a NOID? Run across it from time to time in the posts, but can't figure out from contest. It's not listed in Terminology. Even went to Acronyms.com. Not of those had anything to do with C & S.

Re: just a few new ones... part one

George, I'm glad you had the sense to label thread "..part one" because after 2 - 3 frames, my mind said: yeah, next will part 17! I would like to put my newbie $.02 worth in on a couple of pix, because a similiar ID has come up before. I've been looking @ pix & posts 8-10 hrs/da...

Re: New member

Majka - Love reading your posts! And this is totally unrelated to C & S, except it's on your posts. A couple of other CF members have remarked -- Where did/do you get your Emoticons? Your "moonwalking" flower was too much :-D & I had to ask. And hopefully your cold & snowfall a...

Re: My little cacti garden

Hey, Jim - Looks familiar & only because we got 3 - 4 " of snow over the weekend. Curious what all you have "C & S"-wise outdoors. I have a little roadside stand & have expanded my cactophilia into cold-hardies (naturally) so I can show people what's possible in this area....

Re: RichR's 2012 collection

Rich - Your photography has driven my cactus addiction to a new low -- or is that high  ! I had never really paid much attention to Echinomastus at all; apparently never saw the "right" pix. All the other pix are exquisite, too. =D>

Re: E. senilis: Is this typical?

Does increasing light or temps, or both, set off budding in E. senilis? Or is it "special" West Coast air? I (accidently) acquired one end of this past summer, d/t wrong shipment. Of course, once I got it, I really liked it, & All are accepted in this household :D . I'm assuming...

Freeze damage

Ariz. Fero - I swear if I were a young man again, I would study the the immune & healing systems of cacti, because that healing you documented was, indeed, Awesome  On the other hand, I just learned big seedlings are big seedlings, not adults! - yesterday I cut open 2 Espostoa (Lowe's &...

Goat Stall

Hey, Tiggy - You're pic "Goat Stall" reminded me of taking care of the dairy goats in Upstate NY in the late '70's. One winter we were actually walking over the top of the fencing -- for several weeks! Were heating with wood in those days, so cold & snow wasn't a Big issue! We w...
