Re: Peace Lily leaves twisting
It's a plant which needs indirect sunlight, so best to place it close to a north/east window or a bit further away from south/west window. It could be as Greenknight says and folding it's leaves to adapt to stronger sunlight. It could also be it is protecting itself by doing that. If it's not decli...

Re: Peace Lily leaves twisting
I grow a Spathiphyllum in my bathroom about 2.5m away from a south-west window. Besides the curling leaves, your plant looks good. Moving it around too much is not good (if that's the case). Yeah I really can’t figure this one out. Should I just let it be and not worry about it? It’s been looking e...

Re: Some of my epiphytes
I'm holding off from buying plants right now. The nurseries include a heating pack, but somehow it wasn't activated. ](*,) #-o Only reason I’m doing this is because where I’m getting it from, they don’t ship unless the weather is good enough and they’re only one state above me. Also the express shi...

Re: Some of my epiphytes
=D> Nice start! Not pictured are an Epiphyllum hybrid(whatever that is), Rhipsalis rhombea, a frost damaged Epiphyllum chrysocardium, some more cuttings of S truncata and S buckleyi, and then an Easter cactus that supposed to get here next week as long as nothing goes wrong(ordered it from one stat...

You could also start some cuttings in small pots (they root easily) so you can try them out in different locations to see how they respond. They will even bloom in 2.5" pots in their second year. Looks kind of strange, they may just have one or two flowers, but they're full size flowers. Plant...

Re: Peace Lily leaves twisting
Is the light brighter than where it was before? It might be a way of adapting to stronger light. Yes actually. I think that’s it. I moved it back from the window just now. Hopefully that’ll help in a few days or so. Before it was a few feet back from where my epiphytic cacti reside so now that I th...

Peace Lily leaves twisting
I know this isn’t the usual kind of plant that shows up on here but I was wondering what the deal with this thing is. The leaves have been twisty like like for months and I have eliminated watering issues, pot issues, and pest issues so I wonder what is causing some of the leaves to fold in half hot...

I’ll only give a little. If this works though it’s gonna make me feel like I can play god with my other flowering houseplantsAeonium2003 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 8:40 pm I would think it would be safe. At worst, distorted growth or burnt growth, but it probably won't kill your plant.

Re: Is this a bad idea
Never tried it on cactus, but it caused some distorted growth on the plants I tried it on. It was over 40 years ago, so I don't remember what I used it on. I've seen it advertised to make cactus offset, recently. If I’m correct I’m pretty sure they use this stuff commercially on thanksgiving cacti ...

CactusBoss; I don’t know if my experienses with S.truncata will help you much..but anyway. I have had truncatas for some years, I would guess the oldest ones are 7-8 years. Some in the bathroom ( the oldest ones) , some in the kitchen and one in the livingroom. The ones in the bathroom are placed o...
