Re: problem with Euphorbia enopla
:( :( :( anyway the base has always had that colour...I really really hope you aren't right...but, I sadly agree with you. About watering, I haven't watered it in winter and I used a very good drained potting mix: cactus soil+lapillus (I'm sorry, I don't know its name in english) + gravel (the one f...

problem with Euphorbia enopla
Hello everyone! few weeks ago I have seen a flabby branch on my E. enopla. I have cut it and it was dry, without sap. Then I have watered the plant (I have watered my E. only once during winter and it has been inside at 13-15°C). But another branch seemed flabby, then another one and again and again...

First, I'm sorry to be absent minded as always...
Second, I'm sorry to haven't posted pictures (Google Drive drives me crazy!!!).
Third, thank you for the replies. I'll post this on the forum you suggested Steve...even if my Euphorbia is all pruned now. Had to do this because it was rotting

Euphorbia enopla emergency
Hello everyone! 2 days ago I have seen a flabby branch on my E. enopla. I have cut it and it was dry, without sap. Then I have watered the plant (I have watered my E. only once during winter and it has been inside at 13-15°C). Now another branch seems flabby. Again, some of the young top, I mean the...

Re: Phantom Plant Eater
I should mention that Rebutias actually bloom best if they're exposed to cool temperatures, they can even stand a light frost. Snails and slugs are sneaky, they come out at night to feed and hide during the day. You can control them by hunting them at night, trapping them with beer, repelling them ...

Re: Phantom Plant Eater
Hi greenknight, In effect I have seen slime trails and found a snail on my Brasiliopuntia, but no slime trails on my Rebutia. The R. and its pot are so small...could the snail have eaten my R. not leaving any tracks? :-k . I have seen neither caterpillars inside my greenhouse, nor slime trails on th...

Re: Phantom Plant Eater
I live in Abruzzo, a central Italy region, in Roseto Degli Abruzzi a town 200 km east of Rome. My home is near the Adriatic sea (about 500 meters), so we haven't very low temperatures, but I think it's better waiting for the springtime, before placing outside this Rebutia.. Thank you for your help h...

Re: Phantom Plant Eater
Hi hoteidoc,
So do you think my R. is 'safe'? Really?
I have moved it inside, 'cause I'm scared of cold temperatures, I'll place it outsidr again in Springtime.
Ok, no water inside the wound. When it could be necessary to water the R.? Maybe in May?
Thank you for your reply

Re: Phantom Plant Eater
Sending a new topic was useless, I think it's better send a reply here. Exactly the same time when Susi had the 'phantom of the greenhouse', I had mine too. I'm pretty sure my phantom was a caterpillar, because those days were warm and I have seen caterpillars on my roses too. Isn't the right season...

Re: Help for Lampranthus
Could it be a good idea separating the good (4 or 5) branches from the rest of the L., and letting them root in another pot?
