Pulpy fruit hard to get seeds out I put the whole fruit in a jar of water and shake it to try and separate seeds from surgery pulp. Good thing is usually there are hundreds of seeds. I have to cross plants to get seeds. Patient growers can wait for the fruit to totally dry out and separate out seeds...

I take cuttings when the main stem gets too tall or I want more plants . I root them on sand with normal soil under the sand and keep them in the shade out of direct sunlight . Works best in active growing season. White powder is rootone

I've since fixed it to neutral PH and all elements are balanced . All that compost your soil will be slightly acidic I bet , which is fine for almost all cactus.
